CipherMate encrypts and decrypts strings of text using AES keys, which are also used by the United States government. To encrypt a string of text, enter it into the field labeled "Enter Text To Encrypt" and tap the Encrypt button. To decrypt an encrypted string, enter it into the field labeled "Enter Text To Decrypt" and tap the Decrypt button. In order for either of these functions to work, you must first enter a 16-digit secret key. If you are using the decryption feature and the key is incorrect, the resulting text will be a useless string of random characters. When one of the buttons is pressed, the resulting string of text is copied to the clipboard automatically to make using CipherMate to communicate securely easy.
